We are seeking an Anatomic Pathologist at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor – in a career or tenure track - to join our team at the Oklahoma Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory (https://oaddl.okstate.edu/) and Department of Veterinary Pathobiology within the College of Veterinary Medicine. OADDL is Level 1 member laboratory of the National Animal Health Laboratory Network. It is an AAVLD-accredited laboratory with both BSL-2 and BSL-3 capabilities.

Position Overview: This position provides an opportunity to combine pathology expertise and a passion for educating the next generation of pathologists and veterinarians. Candidates should demonstrate a desire to make a positive impact on the community through service and education while working alongside four collegial pathologists equally enthusiastic about their careers, and four pathology residents. Primary responsibilities include diagnostic service provision, instruction to Year 4 veterinary students during necropsy service, and resident training. The necropsy service receives a wide variety of production animals, companion animals, horses, and exotic animals, which provide excellent material for training of residents and instruction of veterinary students.

Requirements:

  • DVM, VMD, MVSc, BVSc or equivalent veterinary degree
  • ACVP or ECVP certification or eligibility. ACVP or ECVP certification-eligible candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
